Simply lovely. The lack of lots of colors gives this image a very balanced feeling - and again reminds me of a place I might travel to in dreamland (if I'm lucky =). I also like the old-fashioned feel to it - nostalgic & peaceful...

I had doubts about posting this so I'm glad you like it. Before moving to Heckmondwike I lived in a town called Skelmersdale which suffers from a bad (if sometimes undeserved) reputation. Its saving grace is in the country which surrounds and sometimes encroaches on the town. This was taken on the edge of some of the largest housing developments in the town.

I really the the tone and your composition is perfect with this image. One little suggestion, is that I think I would crop out most of the dark on the bottom of the image, and make it into almost a square format. Other than that, I think you have a keeper on this one. Well done.

Good composition, personally I like it just the way it is, with no croping. I think it's the black on the bottom that gives the whole scenery this somewhat mystic atmosfere. It makes you wonder what is behind the big tree on the right. Nice!

Wanda, thanks for the compliment, I'll try out your suggestion and see how it looks.

CR|ST|, glad you like it and thanks for taking time to comment. It's good to hear from people with different opinions, makes me think about what I'm doing.
